Paul King, M.D., is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon and the medical director of the AAMC Joint Center. He graduated cum laude from the University of Maryland School of Medicine in 1996, completed an internship in general and orthopaedic surgery and a residency in orthopaedic surgery at the University of Pennsylvania, followed by a fellowship in joint reconstruction surgery at Harvard Medical School.
He is board-certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and a member of the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons, the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the American Medical Association, the American College of Surgeons and the Medical and Chirurgical Society of Maryland.
He has published and presented his research on related topics locally and nationally, and has taught orthopaedic medicine to medical students at the University of Pennsylvania and Harvard, and to primary care physicians at national continuing medical education conferences. Dr. King is on the board of directors of the Arthritis Foundation, Southern Maryland Branch, and is a team doctor for the Baltimore Orioles AA affiliate Bowie Baysox baseball team.
